Saint Aviation

This is literally my number 1 cocktail right now! I'm a new lover of gin. I always thought it tasted like Christmas trees and it just wasn't for me. I'd just never had it mixed with the right things. Aviations and French 75's were my first foray into liking gin but the simplicity of the Aviation wins every time. St.Germain is my favorite liquor and this seemed like the perfect combo. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Gin (I like Ford's)

  • .75 oz lemon juice

  • .5 oz St.Germain (elderflower liquor)

  • 1 tsp Amareno Cherry Syrup

  • Amareno Cherries (I get them at Trader Joe's)

Directions

  1. Chill a coupe glass.

  2. Combine gin, lemon juice, St.Germain and cherry syrup in a shaker with ice.

  3. Shake well.

  4. Toss ice and strain cocktail into coupe glass.

  5. Garnish with a cherry. Serve!

Extras

If you prefer a tart drink just up the lemon juice a little bit. But if you prefer a sweeter drink silly add more of the cherry syrup.
